Who knew that the daughter who insisted on firing her father’s service revolver at the age of just 10 years would one day travel to Paris. Rhythm Sangwan, the promising daughter of Haryana Police DSP from Faridabad Narendra Sangwan and housewife mother Neelam Sangwan, has secured an Olympic quota in the 25 meter pistol event. One day in her childhood, Rhythm picked up her father’s revolver while playing. Suddenly the father noticed it and snatched the revolver, but the daughter insisted on shooting. On this, the father brought a toy pistol, but Rhythm wanted to shoot a real pistol. On the insistence of the daughter, the father took her to the Karni Singh Shooting Range and she started learning shooting there. Rhythm says that one of father’s colleagues, Sub-Inspector Vineet, taught me to shoot and then I never looked back. I always had one thing in my mind that I have to make my own mark in shooting at any cost. I slowly moved forward with positive thinking. As a result of this, my drawing room is filled with many medals and various trophies. She has won a gold medal for the country in the team event in the Asian Games. Regarding her recent meeting with the Prime Minister, Rhythm says that he always encourages young players. Talking to him has increased the confidence of all of us players.
