I never liked dubbed English movies.

Actor Sanjay Mishra, who has voiced the character of Pumbaa in the Hindi version of Hollywood animated film ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, says that the level of dubbing in India has improved in the last few years. In an interview, Sanjay said that he got the inspiration to dub for Pumbaa when he heard actor Shreyas Talpade recording for the character of Timon. The duo of Timon and Pumbaa appear in ‘The Lion King’ universe as the friend and mentor of Mufasa’s son Simba. Sanjay said, ‘I never liked dubbed English films, because they (dialogues dubbed in Hindi) seemed incomplete. Today, attention is paid to every word, not just the first and the last word. Initially I was a little worried but when I heard Shreyas doing it, I felt that he had done it the way it was required. So, I also did it exactly as it was written in the script.’
