Did Munna Bhaiya’s image ever become an obstacle in getting different work? Divyendu says, ‘Creating an image works in both positive and negative ways. When my first film ‘Pyaar Ka Panchnama’ came out, my comedy image was formed after the role of Liquid in it, then I did not get any work apart from that. After that, Munna’s image became very strong with ‘Mirzapur’. Despite having such a strong image, all the work I did after that was different from him. There is no idea of what will affect your life and how. It is not easy to work after creating an image. For this, let’s take the example of a sweet shop. If one of the sweets of a shop becomes famous, then after going to that shop, people will ask for the same famous sweet from them. But you should also have other sweets. If a customer tastes another sweet, he should enjoy that too. It means that an artist should also be like a good confectioner.’
