Varun Dhawan starrer Baby John released in theatres on Wednesday, nearly two years after the release of the 2022 film Jugjug Jiyo. Since action and larger than life films are currently trending at the ticket window, Varun, who got a chance to do pure action for the first time in this film, also had high hopes from it. The film is trying to remain stable at the box office despite tough competition from Allu Arjun’s superhit film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Baby John, which released on around three thousand screens across the country, got an opening of Rs 11.25 crore on Wednesday. The film stars Varun along with Vamika Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. This is Varun’s fifth biggest film in terms of opening. Kalank has been Varun’s biggest film in terms of opening with an opening of Rs 21.6 crore. Judwaa 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and ABCD: Any Body Can Dance 2 are also ahead of Baby John in terms of opening.
